Comcast's European pay giant Sky is working on a new eight-part supernatural crime thriller. The Rising —which starts filming in the U.K.'s Lake District next month —marks the first series produced entirely in-house by Sky's production arm Sky Studios, which is is working with exec producer Julian Stevens, who produced BBC dramas The Fall and Informer.
Clara Rugaard stars alongside newcomers Nenda Neururer and Solly McLeod in a story about a girl who discovers that she is dead, and sets out to find her killer and get justice, believing it was someone she knew.
FollowingThe Third Day, The Rising is the second in-house production from Sky Studios and the first to be produced entirely in-house.
