Sir Paul McCartney has been revealed as the man behind a mysterious set of classified adverts which featured in The Daily Record.

The Beatles legend had Record readers confused after taking out adverts about his new children’s book, featuring the characters Grandude and Nandude.

The new children’s picture book Grandude’s Green Submarine is being released this week and the music legend opted for adverts in specific regions close to his heart, according to Mirror Online.

McCartney took out several adverts in Scotland’s Daily Record and sister English titles Liverpool Echo and Manchester Evening News.
