Marcus Rashford (born 31 October 1997) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for Premier League club Manchester United and the England national team.
A Manchester United player from the age of seven, he scored two goals on both his first-team debut against Midtjylland in the UEFA Europa League in February 2016 and his Premier League debut against Arsenal three days later.
He also scored in his first Manchester derby match, his first EFL Cup match and his first UEFA Champions League match. With United, Rashford has so far won the FA Cup, EFL Cup, FA Community Shield and UEFA Europa League.
Manchester United legend Sir Alex Ferguson has joined forces with British philanthropist Sir Michael Moritz to match every donation made to the Marcus Rashford -championed FareShare programme.
Rashford has earned plenty of plaudits this year for his work in ensuring children do not go hungry.He has worked with FareShare to help the cause with Ferguson having praised Rashford’s efforts.
In an appeal by The Times, Ferguson and Moritz could raise as much as £2m for the programme with the former United boss taking the time out to applaud the youngster. "You can't forget your upbringing because that's what made me," Ferguson told Times Radio .
