Single parents are more likely to be locked out of work and at risk of plunging into poverty than couples with kids, new report warns today.
Research by the charity Gingerbread found that single parents are more likely to have been furloughed (30%) than couple parents (21%) and a greater proportion (46%) worked in hard-hit sectors like hospitality and retail compared to parents in couples (26%).
