SIMON Cowell's pals have said the star was 'nearly paralysed and is lucky to be recovering at all' after his 'life changing' bike accident.

Insiders say the music mogul has had a wake up call since he was almost paralysed when he fell off his electric bike in August and have made him realise he's not "invincible".
