Simon Cowell has been spotted riding his bike for the first time after breaking his back in a horror accident last year. The music mogul suffered a serious fall from a new electric bike he was testing at his house in Malibu in summer 2020.

He narrowly avoided being paralysed as he missed snapping his spinal cord "by a centimetre", and had to undergo six hours of surgery.

After taking months off to recover, Simon was seen back on the saddle when he went for a ride by the beach on Sunday. The bike appeared to be motorised, proving that he wasn't going to let the accident stop him from riding again.
