Simon Cowell is said to be taking extra precautions to ensure his family's safety. The X Factor boss was the victim of a terrifying home raid back in 2015, which saw people break into his West London home while he, his partner Lauren Silverman and their son Eric slept.

The burglar, who killed a man 10 days later when he was driving a stolen car on the wrong side of the road, stole two passports and £1 million worth of jewels.

Simon is now said to be stepping up security at his £15 million home to protect his family from ever being targeted again. A source told The Sun : "After the terrifying experience he had a few years ago Simon doesn’t want a repeat.
