Simon Cowell has admitted he feared for his life during a hairy moment while making this year's series of Britain's Got Talent, The pop mogul really thought it was all over during a visit to the seaside town of Blackpool, which is playing host to the 2025 edition of the ITV show.
When the new series starts, the audience will see Simon lying on the stage with mallets and bits of watermelon flying all around as co-judges Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon scream in horror.
Trying not to move a muscle, Cowell stays perfectly still as a blindfolded man wielding a mallet attacks a watermelon next to his head.
And the fruit-crusher is just one of many weird and wacky acts taking part in the upcoming 18th edition of the competition. It will also feature the show's most grotesque performer yet - in the shape of Auzzy Blood.
