Shock waves were sent across Ireland after an RTÉ radio documentary was aired by broadcaster Katie Hannon, entitled Women of Honour.
The documentary was a damning account by former female members of the Irish army and navy, detailing sexual assault and harassment by male colleagues and superiors, and job discrimination against female members with children.
Following the broadcast, another victim came forward and told her story on Claire Byrne Live, but wanting to stay anonymous, an actress stepped in and read out the army woman’s story.
