Benidorm star Sherrie was just 21 when the “very famous” director jumped on her in the dark. When asked if she thought she would be raped, Sherrie, now 70, said: “His intention was to have sex.
He was naked.” Sherrie, who has also starred in Coronation Street and Emmerdale, said the man had offered her a lift home from her drama school, then detoured to a restaurant before making an excuse to stop at his flat.
