Sheridan Smith was in tears as she paid an emotional tribute to her late friend Amy Winehouse during ITV singing competition Starstruck.During last night's episode (March 26), the actress could be seen wiping away the tears as she remembered the Rehab and Back To Black singer, who died in July 2011 at the age of 27 years old.The tribute followed a performance by three contestants, who had transformed themselves into the late star for a rendition of hit song Rehab, in the hope of winning the competition's prize.Sheridan had been friends with Amy Winehouse, after the two met while queuing to enter London club Proud Galleries in Camden, with the actress telling the contestants: "Girls, you're amazing, you know I did know Amy and she was so much more than the beehive and the tattoos. "She was a beautiful soul, a very misunderstood soul, but with the most incredible talent."The actress broke down in tears as she praised the three performers for capturing the truth of Amy's personality, adding: "I think you all really got that tonight, I think Patsy you got the sass.
