SHERIDAN Smith was last night “lucky to be alive” after smashing her Range Rover at high speed into a tree. The star was at the wheel of her £100,000 Range Rover when she swerved off the road in bad weather caused by Storm Arwen.
Severe damage to the higher branches of the tree suggested the car may have been airborne when it hit. The horror smash came 90 minutes before an episode of The Jonathan Ross Show aired on ITV – which had sparked furious claims from Sheridan after the recording that it was “sexist.” The TV and stage actress was driving on a narrow country road just 600 yards from her home in Essex on Saturday when the car left the road on a tight bend.
