Neil Lennon

Neil Francis Lennon (born 25 June 1971) is a Northern Irish football coach and former player who is the manager of Scottish Premiership club Celtic. During his playing career he represented English clubs Manchester City, Crewe Alexandra and Leicester City.

Lennon moved to Scottish club Celtic in 2000, where he made over 200 appearances and was appointed captain in 2005. Before retiring as a player, he returned to England and played for Nottingham Forest and Wycombe Wanderers. Lennon made 40 appearances for Northern Ireland in nine years, scoring two goals. Lennon was appointed manager of Celtic in March 2010, initially in a caretaker capacity after the departure of Tony Mowbray.

Hibs have announced their new manager as Shaun Maloney takes the reins at Easter Road. The Hibees have been on the lookout for a new boss since defeat to Livingston ended Jack Ross ' tenure.

The early frontrunners included everyone from Neil Lennon to current head of youth Steve Kean. But the field quickly narrowed and Record Sport revealed they had settled on Maloney as their top target.

Now the former Celtic and Scotland star has been announced on a three-and-a-half year deal. The 38-year-old is set to be officially unveiled at a press conference early evening before he takes charge against Aberdeen on Wednesday.He will be assisted by former team-mate Gary Caldwell while David Gray, who was in caretaker charge for Sunday's Premier
