Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is unstoppable. The Marvel movie once again reigned supreme at the box office as of Sunday (September 26).
The film brought in $13.3 million in its fourth weekend at the box office, bringing its tally up to $196.5 million, a pandemic-era record that breaks Marvel‘s own previous record for highest-grossing movie of the year with Black Widow, which brought in $183 million.
Shang-Chi was released on a purse theatrical window, versus the day-and-date strategy used to release Black Widow. Other box office entries include Dear Evan Hansen, which started at $7.5 million, underneath the $10 million projection.
