Brighton and Hove Albion star Tariq Lamptey has reportedly been ruled out for the remainder of the season. Lamptey suffered a hamstring injury in Brighton's 0-0 draw with Fulham on December 16 and he underwent surgery to fix a tear in his tendon on Saturday.
According to a report from the Athletic, Lamptey could return to training before the end of the current campaign but he will not be fit enough to play in any of the Seagulls' remaining 11 fixtures.
Speaking last week, Brighton boss Graham Potter revealed he was concerned about whether Lamptey would be able to return to action this season.He said: "In terms of time, there's not that much time left of the season, depending on the state of the injury - at the moment we're not quite.
