Scottish Government announces no deaths and 168 covid cases in last 24 hours

dailyrecord.co.ukcoronavirus in the last 24 hours. The latest figures for Scotland showed that 168 new cases had been identified overnight. It means the death toll since last March – of people who first tested positive for the virus within the previous 28 days - remains the same at 7,661 .
There are currently 72 people in hospital confirmed to have the virus with 6 being treated in intensive care.The total number of positive cases since the pandemic hit stands at 227,840.To date 2,909,156 people have received their first vaccination with 1,485,296 having a second jab.The figures come as Scots continue to hold off on making summer holiday plans.
