Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday. He admitted driving in Nivensknowe Road in Loanhead, Midlothian, with 106 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.
Fiscal depute Duncan MacKenzie said police were on mobile patrol at 7.05pm on October 10 last year.He said the officers observed a Citreon Nemo pulling out from a junction and having a near-miss with another vehicle.Mr MacKenzie said the van was being driven “erratically”.
The van was pulled over, the court heard, and MacLeod gave a positive breath test and was taken to St Leonards police station in Edinburgh.
The prosecutor said MacLeod admitted he’d been drinking and was “slurring his words” and “unsteady”. He added: “He repeatedly stated that he had urinated himself.”Defence.
