James Nisbet, 28, thought he was sending the sex texts and naked selfies to real girls, aged 13 and 14. But he was actually interacting with fake profiles set up by members of two separate groups, while a third was brought in to carry out an online sting.
Nisbet, of Kilmarnock, Ayrshire, had no idea he was actually messaging decoys from online groups Keeping Innocent Dreams Safe and No Excuse.
And he has now been placed on the Sex Offenders' Register after he was confronted over his crimes in a 'sting' streamed live on Facebook.
