Scots motorist shocked after car window ‘explodes’ in summer heatwave while parked on driveway

But the 58-year-old spotted something wasn’t right with the glass in the back windscreen of the motor and initially thought it may be condensation or moisture inside.But on closer inspection, he discovered the entire back window had shattered into a ‘spider web’ of broken glass.

Kevin, from Newton Mearns, is now facing a £150 excess fee on his insurance to replace the broken glass and a wait for the new screen to arrive.
