military planes and ships around Scotland as a huge operation begins today. We told yesterday how an armada of warships from across the globe were expected in Glasgow this week as part of the massive NATO exercise Joint Warrior.
Now the Ardrossan Coastguard Rescue Team have told locals in Ayrshire and the West Coast to be aware of the huge amount of traffic from the training exercise.
Armed forces from 11 countries are taking part- made up of the UK, Netherlands, Canada, Belgium, Portugal, Spain, France, Norway, Latvia, Germany, and the USA.The massive training operation will involve bringing 25 warships, three submarines, over 30 aircraft, and around 6,750 military personnel including 500 ground troops to military ranges across the country.
