fish and chip shop owner banned from shining a superhero-style light into the sky to attract customers is taking her fight to the Scottish government.
Jaki Pickett applied for permission use her powerful spotlight to promote her takeaway in the village of Muir of Ord in the Highlands.
But Highland Council planners refused to give Jaki consent, claiming the beam would cause light pollution in the rural area.
She came up with her plan after designing a deep-fried superhero called Batterman as part of a publicity drive at the Jaki Fish and Chip Shop.
