A Scottish Asda employee has been praised by colleagues and the public for their quick-thinking response to a crash victim on the motorway.
Mark, 51, who works as a driver for the Dunbar stor e, was making his deliveries when a Ford Transit van in front suddenly veered off the side and crashed into the central reservation barrier.
The former solider leaped into action to save the distressed driver who was 'struggling to breathe' by cutting his seatbelt with the cardboard cutting tool used for deliveries.The Asda store has now praised Mark's actions have seen him hailed as a 'hero' after he stayed with the victim until emergency services arrived.Mark said: "The guy was in distress, hanging over his seatbelt and struggling to breathe."I
