Scotland's deputy first minister explains Manchester travel ban

John Swinney said the restriction, banning non-essential travel to Manchester and Salford from Scotland from today (Monday), was justified due to rising coronavirus cases.

In response to Andy Burnham's claim that the announcement came completely 'out of the blue', he said the government had to 'act quickly' to stop the spread of the virus.
