The First Minister said it would be a "major milestone" which will "signal a return to almost complete normality" in Scotland with the lifting of almost all social distancing restrictions by a date that she today gave as August 9.
It will follow the next significant date north of the border on July 19 when the country will move to "Level 0" - when the limits for household gatherings indoors will increase, and up to 200 people will be able to attend weddings and funerals, without the requirements for physical distances.
