Female students at a school in Bury have reportedly been left in tears after claims they were lined up and patted down because their trousers were 'too tight'.

Parents at Woodhey High School in Ramsbottom claim their daughters were hauled into an emergency assembly and forced to line up whilst both male and female teachers demanded to feel their trousers.

One parent said their 11-year-old daughter had been left "petrified" to return to school, with many parents claiming their children had been threatened with disciplinary action if they didn't comply - something school leaders deny. It also says they should not be tight fit, lycra, jersey, stretch trousers, chinos, leggings. But parents say they bought the trousers from an official uniform supplier, including one dad-of-two, who has two daughters aged 11, and 13 at the school.
