The expansion of a primary school in Sale has been given the go-ahead despite objections from nearby residents over road safety.
Letters of objection were submitted to Trafford's planning team complaining that Temple Road, home to Moorlands Junior School, "as it exists is unsafe".
Moorlands wants to increase its capacity from 250 pupils to 370 by building four more classrooms, a studio and specialist teaching space and extending its hard play area, resiting its multi-use games area and creating more parking spaces for staff.
Approval of the application will see the school rise from two-form to three-form entry. Councillors on Trafford's planning and development management committee have given it the go-ahead.
