Conor McGregor took a savage swipe at UFC star Tony Ferguson, by comparing the American fighter to a McDonald’s chicken nugget after he was brutally knocked out by Michael Chandler.

Ferguson and Chandler battled it out at UFC and 274, and it was the latter who came out on top thanks to a second-round knockout.Chandler landed a brutal front kick to the face to leave Ferguson out cold, with many dubbing the shot ‘the knockout of the year’.

McGregor took the opportunity not to praise the knockout, but to point fun at the man on the receiving end - Ferguson. After a shot of the American’s dismantled face following the kick found its way onto social media, the Notorious One was quick to jump on it with the most bizarre comparison.Sharing the picture on Twitter, the Irishman wrote: “If you pulled that out of a McDonald’s bag you’d dip it in sauce and eat without a moments thought.

No doubt. That would pass as a legit @McDonalds chicken nugget. That’s Crazy!”Moments later, McGregor made his comparison clear by sharing an image of a McDonald’s nugget with the caption: “That’s crazy.” Even after his brutal dig, the Irishman’s nugget joke at the expense of Ferguson did not stop there. He followed it up with another Twitter thread, posting: “McDonald’s near me in st.Tropez, still open,” before following this up by adding in a separate post: “Sorry meant that for Google hahahaa.”Following the fight the victorious Chandler had a message for McGregor whilst he was watching on from home by calling out the Irishman to take him on in his comeback fight.
