Charles, Prince of Wales (Charles Philip Arthur George; born 14 November 1948) is the heir apparent to the British throne as the eldest son of Elizabeth II. He has been Duke of Cornwall and Duke of Rothesay since 1952, and he is the oldest and longest-serving heir apparent in British history.

He is also the longest-serving Prince of Wales, having held that title since 1958. Charles was born at Buckingham Palace as the first grandchild of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. He was educated at Cheam and Gordonstoun schools, which his father, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, had attended as a child. Charles also spent a year at the Timbertop campus of Geelong Grammar School in Victoria, Australia.

Sam Heughan has congratulated his Outlander co-star Tobias Menzies for winning an Emmy award last night. After his character 'Black Jack Randall' was killed off from Outlander, the actor went on to portray Prince Philip in Netflix series The Crown.

During last night's Emmy's, Tobias picked up 'Best Supporting Actor in a Drama'. It was a successful night all round for The Crown as Gillian Anderson won 'Best Supporting Actress in a Drama' for her role as Margaret Thatcher and Olivia Colman won ' Best Drama Actress' for her portrayal as The Queen.Josh O'Connor scooped 'Best Drama Actor' for his role as Prince Charles as the show also won Best Drama Series.And Tobias' Outlander cast mate Sam was quick to congratulate him on the incredible.
