RYLAN Clark-Neal has suffered a rare career setback after the BBC cancelled his Ready, Steady, Cook reboot. The Radio 2 DJ has fronted the updated series since last year but was told last month the Beeb was dropping it after two series.
A source said: “Rylan was hugely passionate about Ready, Steady, Cook and he gave everything to the show. It seemed to be popular with viewers but those behind the format said audience feedback hadn’t been as good as they expected.” Rylan, 32, has enjoyed a stellar showbiz rise but took ten weeks off over the summer to work on his marriage to Dan Neal, whom he wed in 2015.
