Budget airline Ryanair has warned flyers that it has cancelled 700 flights this winter. Ryanair announced it was "forced" to cancel hundreds of flights to Lisbon due to the Portuguese airline TAP blocking takeoff and landing slots at airports.The airline blamed TAP for "hoarding" valuable slots at Lisbon airports that Ryanair needed to use for 700 flights across three routes.
Ryanair said the cancellations are so severe that it would directly cause harm to the "connectivity and post- Covid recovery" of Lisbon.
The airline said it would keep seven aircrafts - a $700m investment - and crew in place in Lisbon this winter to be ready to reinstate all the cancelled flights if sufficient slots are freed.Travellers flying Ryanair will join the
