Steven George Gerrard MBE (born 30 May 1980) is an English professional football manager and former player who manages Scottish Premiership club Rangers.
He spent the majority of his playing career as a central midfielder for Liverpool, with most of that time spent as club captain, as well as captaining the England national team. Widely regarded as one of the greatest midfielders of all time,
Gerrard was awarded the UEFA Club Footballer of the Year award in 2005, and the Ballon d'Or Bronze Award. In 2009, Zinedine Zidane and Pelé said that they considered Gerrard to be the best footballer in the world.
Steven Gerrard was blown away by Ryan Kent 's "world class" goal after the winger's long range scorcher against Ross County.
Kent rifled home the second in a 4-2 victory over the Staggies on Sunday as Rangers recovered from again going behind. The attacker, fit again following a hamstring injury, made a decisive substitute appearance in the midweek draw with Brondby and was handed a start at Ibrox on Sunday.
And he showed he's keen to make up for lost time with a brilliant dipping strike from distance that put the Premiership champions in control after Joe Aribo cancelled out Joseph Hungbo's early opener.
Juninho Bacuna added a third before Alex Iacovitti turned into his own net, rendering Jordan White's late goal as mere consolation.
