Ruth Wilson is joining Andrew Scott for her next big role in HBO’s Oslo, THR reports.
Based on the Tony Award-winning play by J.T. Rogers, it tells a story of the secret back-channel talks, unlikely friendships and quiet heroics of a small but committed group of Israelis, Palestinians and one Norwegian couple that led to the 1993 Oslo Peace Accords. Bartlett Sher will direct and Steven Spielberg, Marc Platt, Kristie Macosko Krieger and David Litvak will executive produce.
In the movie, Ruth will play Mona Juul, a Norwegian foreign minister and Andrew is Terje Rød-Larsen, a sociologist and Mona’s husband.
