Ruth Langsford
Ruth Langsford (born 17 March 1960 in Singapore) is an English television presenter of shows such as This Morning, Gift Wrapped and How the Other Half Lives. Langsford is an anchor on ITV's lunchtime chat show Loose Women and presents Ruth Langsford's Fashion Edit on QVC. She took part in the fifteenth series of Strictly Come Dancing, where she came ninth. She is currently the longest serving female presenter of This Morning. Ruth currently is more frequently known for her exclusive fashion collection, for British fashion label QVC. After being approached to curate a collection, Langsford signed a multi million pound endorsement deal that spawned 19 sellout collections; 18 of which debuted at London Fashion Week Women’s Collection.

Ruth Langsford responds to being slammed over dig after This Morning shake-up

Ruth Langsford has responded after being in hot water for throwing shade at reality stars. The star and her husband Eamonn Holmes, both 60, lost their Friday This Morning slot to Alison Hammond, of Big Brother fame, and Dermot O'Leary.

In an interview, Ruth said she and her husband had "put the work in" rather than gaining stardom overnight from reality TV. Alison's Big Brother co-star Alex Sibley criticised the presenter for the "out of order" dig.

Now Ruth's representative has come forward to clarify this statement wasn't aimed at a particular celebrity. The comment was apparently an ill-timed observation of what happens in the showbiz industry.
