Russia 'fighting blind' as all military satellites have been hacked and taken offline

President Vladimir Putin's officials had often lauded its battlefield tactics earlier on into its invasion of Ukraine, and claimed that its satellite capabilities was a key factor in it.

But now a key hacking group has knocked them all offline, and it has apparently left Russia blind when it comes to tactics.READ MORE: Despotic Vladimir Putin's seven most evil moments as Russian baddie turns 70The group, known as OneFist, hacked the system known as Gonets having found an a setting programmed incorrectly.Known as Satellite System Gonets, a major shareholder of the company behind it is Roscosmos – Russia's space agency.It was made to communicate with global satellites – like the ones used by Russia in battle.Speaking to Cybernews, an anonymous member going under the name of OneFist said: “I found a misconfiguration in their setup, which allowed us to enter just like any other account.“We were able to access the view but not escalate our privileges and download the whole database.“We didn’t have full permission, so we had to delete it all by hand – it was exhausting, despite having multiple people in the attack.
