Run the Jewels'Killer MikeandEl-Pperformed their new album,RTJ4, in its entirety on Adult Swim on Saturday in an effort to encourage voting in the November election.
The powerful commercial-free event, dubbed Holy Calamavote, marked the first live performance ofRTJ4, which dropped in June.
The televised set featured pre-recorded appearances byPharrell Williams,2 Chainz,Zack de la Rocha,Mavis Staplesand Josh Homme, all of whom appear as guests on the album.
Comedian Eric Andre hosted the 45-minute broadcast, providing comic relief between the 11 songs performed. The hip-hop duo kept it strictly to music during the majority of the program, but broke their silence toward the end and encouraged viewers to vote on Nov.
