RTÉ Annual Report shows how your €160 TV Licence is spent

Ever wondered exactly how your TV Licence is being spent? Well, the latest RTÉ Annual Report from 2019 has been released and features a breakdown of where your €160 goes.

The national broadcaster doesn’t receive 100 per cent of the fee and as such, the report explained that 83 per cent (€133.54) of our €160 went to RTÉ activities in 2019 while non-RTÉ activities made up the other 17 per cent (€26.46).

The breakdown of our €160 that year saw €74.83 go to RTÉ Television Services. Of this, RTÉ One received €47.46 while RTÉ2 got €27.37.

RTÉ Radio commanded €27.65 of the €160 with the breakdown between stations as follows; RTÉ Radio 1 got €12.69, RTÉ 2FM received €2.39, RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta got €8.33 and RTÉ Lyric FM received €4.24.
