Ronan Keating has accepted ‘substantial damages’ following claims that his voicemail messages had been hacked. The payout comes after the Irish singer brought legal action against News Group Newspapers (NGN) in April 2020, when he made claims that journalists had hacked his voicemail and intercepted the messages.
A hearing was held in London and the singer told the High Court of a number of ‘suspicious’ articles published between 1996 and 2011 which he said contained his private information.
Ellen Gallagher represented Ronan Keating in the High Court and she spoke through his claims, revealing private information had been published to the public.
