Manchester City reportedly considered a move for former Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku last summer, with the Belgian viewed as a potential successor to Sergio Aguero.
Aguero is City's all-time record goalscorer but, with his contract coming to an end and concerns over his injury record, the club have been looking into potential long term replacements.Gabriel Jesus has also had fitness problems and, with both players missing at times this season, City have found themselves outscored by 12 other Premier League teams.
Now, the Daily Telegraph reports that City boss Pep Guardiola has made signing a successor to Aguero his main priority after putting pen to paper on a new contract.
