Rodney Alcala has passed away at the age of 77. The serial killer had been given the death penalty for killing a 12-year-old girl and four other women, but officials confirmed on Saturday that he died of natural causes after he was hospitalised in a hospital near the city of Corcoran.

Despite getting picked, it was later reported that Alcala's would-be date, Cheryl Bradshaw, cancelled their plans after she met him and said he was "creepy".
