Rochdale’s largest social housing landlord has been urged to allow empty flats at its landmark Seven Sisters blocks to be used as emergency accommodation for the homeless.
Coun Danny Meredith - who heads up scrutiny of regeneration in the borough - also wants Rochdale Boroughwide Housing to do the same with properties at neighbouring Lower Falinge during the Covid-19 crisis.
He calls for the move in a letter signed by 57 other councillors which heaps renewed pressure on RBH to publish specific details of its regeneration plan for the two estates.
