BIG Breakfast fans were left cringing this morning when Rita Ora complained about a "dusty apple" she'd been given. However, the hosts quickly explained to her that the offending fruit was in fact a peach.

Pop favourite and Masked Singer judge Rita was appearing on the revamped version of the classic TV breakfast show. Appearing via video link, she began ranting about the state of the 'apples' that had been left in her Los Angeles hotel room.

She said: "I just looked in my fruit bowl... a dusty apple. Look at this! Can you see it?" Rita added: "I don't even know if it's an apple, I think it might be a shrivelled pear." Struggling to contain her laughter, Big Breakfast host AJ Odudu said: "I'm sorry to break it to you.

It's a peach, not an apple."
