Rio Ferdinand has warned Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Luke Shaw that they face an uphill battle getting back into the Manchester United starting line-up.
Both are currently out injured, though Wan-Bissaka made the bench for Sunday's 1-0 win over Crystal Palace. In their place, Diogo Dalot and Alex Telles impressed and continued their recent form after playing well against Arsenal in midweek.
United won that game 3-2 and both kept their place for Ralf Rangnick's first game in charge three days later. Wan-Bissaka and Shaw have failed to get going this season and, in the case of the former, his weaknesses going forward has further been highlighted by how well Dalot has done down the right flank.
