Gareth Southgate no choice but to recall a player he hasn't used for two years for the looming World Cup.The Three Lions are facing a right-back crisis following the injuries to first-team options Kyle Walker and Reece James.

And their health issues have opened the door for Liverpool ace Joe Gomez's shock return to the squad. Manchester City ace Walker is a serious doubt for the ensuing Qatar spectacle after going off injured in the Cityzens' 6-3 demolition of Manchester United in early October.

While James is almost certain to miss the World Cup following his physical ailment that saw him hobble of the pitch in Chelsea's 2-0 win over AC Milan in the Champions League.
