Richard Hammond took over an island for his latest TV show.Producers splashed the cash to film the Grand Tour star’s science series The Great Escapists off the coast of Panama in central America.That meant everyone was under pressure to deliver a top-notch show.Richard, 51, told the Daily Star Sunday: “It was just us on the island.
It was our world for the duration.“It was great having it all to ourselves because we knew no-one would go past in a jet ski and ruin filming.
But it did mean some things were difficult.“There was nothing on the island when we arrived. Everything had to be shipped in and we had basic accommodation.“We deliberately worked hard because we didn’t have anything else to do.
