An X-rated poem Ryan Giggs sent to his former girlfriend was read out in full in court.The former Manchester United winger told Kate Greville, 38, she made him "hard as a totem pole" in a poem heard by the jury.The couple swapped a raft of explicit texts, WhatsApp messages and voice notes during their relationship - along with naked photos and videos of their romps, the jury heard.The 48-year-old is currently on trial accused of assaulting his former partner, as well as controlling and coercive behaviour towards her.

Manchester Crown Court heard how marketing executive Ms Greville sent him a poem of her own, telling the former Wales star "everyday you do me proud, because you're well endowed".Giggs then shared a poem of his own, which included the line "you make me feel funny down there...when you look up and stare".The full poem read to the jury was:My darling KateUnequivocally our love was fateI fell in love with you at first sightI remember coz I was as high as a kiteThose beautiful eyes made me shiverI'm not gonna lie I think of you I dream of youCan't help thinking pulling you was my greatest ever cooThat stomach those absThose pictures you send so I can keep tabsYou make me feel funny down thereEspecially when you're there and you look up and stareI'm beginning to think you are always rightThat’s okay it will keep us tightI'm gonna end by saying you are my love my friend my soulAnd most of all you believe in me, which makes me hard as a totem poleThe poem was read after the court heard how Giggs used his teenage daughter as leverage to try to stop his ex-girlfriend's sister dialling 999 during an argument.The former attacker is accused of headbutting then-partner and then threatening to do the same to her sister.
