Rapper Dank Demoss Sues Lyft -- Says Driver Told Her She Was Too Overweight To Ride

A Detroit rapper is suing Lyft over clear discrimination — in the form of fat-shaming. Dank Demoss went viral after posting a video on her Instagram page earlier this month clearly showing her Lyft driver refusing her access to his vehicle because of her weight.

In the interaction, he tells her: When she told him she could, in fact, fit in the car, he responded, “No, believe me you can’t.” He went on to cancel the ride free of charge and recommended she order a “bigger car,” claiming his “tires” couldn’t handle her weight.
