mirror.co.ukHolidaymakers flying from Heathrow Airport can now get rapid one-hour Covid-19 tests before they fly. The private test will cost £80 per passenger and aims to give a result within one hour, before travellers board their flight.
Those who want to make use of the tests will need to pre-book a slot online before they travel to the airport. At the moment the tests are being trialled in Terminal 2 and Terminal 5, for passengers who are flying to Hong Kong and Italy.
The aim of the test is to help people travelling abroad when proof of a negative result is required on arrival. At the moment, both Hong Kong and Italy require arrivals to provide proof of a negative Covid-19 test.
