Prince William and Kate Middleton got back to work Thursday as the royals continue a period of mourning following the Queen’s funeral.

Prince William, Prince of Wales and Catherine, Princess of Wales (aka Kate Middleton) visit the Windsor Guildhall to thank volunteers and operational staff involved in her Queen Elizabeth II‘s funeral on Thursday (September 22) in Windsor, UK.

The Royal Family all came together to support one another following Queen Elizabeth II's death, with the 'Fab Four' publicly reuniting for the first time since 2020. Prince William, 40, Kate Middleton, 40, Prince Harry, 38, and Meghan Markle, 41, put their differences aside and surprised Royal fans when they emerged from the same car ready to greet crowds outside Windsor Castle on 10 September.

Princess Anne has thanked members of the armed forces who were involved in her mother, Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral during a visit to Portsmouth Naval Base.The Princess Royal, who also holds the title of Commodore-in-Chief Portsmouth, met with Royal Navy personnel in Portsmouth who took part in the funeral procession earlier this week. Following her appearance in Portsmouth, the Royal will travel to Aldershot, where in her role as Colonel-in-Chief of both the Royal Logistic Corps and Royal Corps of Signals, she will thank personnel from across the Corps.

The Queen was “hurt” and no longer wanted to think about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s exit from the Royal Family, a book has claimed.The latest work from royal expert Katie Nicholl, The New Royals: Queen Elizabeth’s Legacy and the Future of the Crown, said that the Queen had been "exhausted" by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s decision to step back as senior royals and move to the USA.The author claims that an anonymous friend of the Queen had said: “She was very hurt and told me, ‘I don’t know, I don’t care, and I don’t want to think about it anymore’”. The same is alleged to have gone for a missed weekend in August, where Harry and Meghan were unable to attend a couple of days in Balmoral, when the Queen would “host a “sleepover” for all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren”, the book said.Queen Elizabeth passed away at that same castle, Balmoral, on September 8 aged 96.Her death ushers in a new era for the royal family and one that many hope will see relationships mend between the Palace and Harry and Meghan.The book claims: “Those close to Charles say he won’t stop trying to heal the rift with his son, as he made sure Harry and Meghan were by the family’s side at the queen’s funeral.
