The Queen has decided to pull out of the St Paul's Cathedral Thanksgiving Service which is set to take place on Friday 3 June.
It has been reported her reason for missing the event is due to "discomfort" which she suffered during Thursday's Trooping of the Colour ceremony.
Although she will sit out Friday's events, Her Majesty will still lead the lighting of the principal jubilee beacon on Thursday evening. The news was first reported by ITV journalist Chris Ship, who wrote on Twitter: "The Queen has had to pull out of the St Paul’s Cathedral Thanksgiving Service tomorrow. "She suffered “discomfort” today said the Palace — although she greatly enjoyed it.
She will still do the Beacon lighting tonight." Seventy years our Queen! Celebrating the Platinum Jubilee with 70 rarely seen pictures View gallery Get exclusive celebrity stories and fabulous photoshoots straight to your inbox with OK!'s daily newsletter.
