The Queen has held her face-to-face meeting after she sprained her back and was unfortunately forced to miss the Remembrance Sunday service.The monarch, whose son Prince Edward delivered a message on her behalf at the Synod earlier this week, met with General Sir Nick Carter, the Chief of the Defence Staff.
She received the guest at her home in the Oak Room at Windsor Castle, where the pair appeared to be deep in conversation. Her Majesty the Queen, 95, opted to wear a floral print dress and a set of delicate pearls round her neck.
